Ryan Shelley
Head Instructor

Ryan instructs many of the camps and private lessons at Inside Edge. His teaching style focuses on details and a methodical, high repetition approach for skill progression. Always ensuring the athletes feel encouraged, Ryan constantly pushes them past the bounds of their comfort zone and toward areas of growth. Ryan played his secondary hockey for Hebron Academy and Cheverus Prep. He then went on to play Junior A and subsequently NCAA Div. 1 for the University of Maine. During his time at Maine, Ryan learned a great deal from legendary coach Grant Standbrook and current NHL stars Jimmy Howard and Ben Bishop.

Kim Meagher
Head Instructor

Kim is the head instructor for the Inside Edge girls programs and often works with many of the private lessons. She brings exceptional knowledge of the game and an ability to communicate well with athletes of any age. Kim’s understanding of positional play is a huge benefit for all athletes who participate with Inside Edge. Kim played her secondary hockey at John Bapst and was team captain in her senior year. She then went on to play NCAA Div. 1 for Boston College and the University of Maine, where she was an assistant captain.

Neil Shelley
Instructor

Neil instructs at many of the Inside Edge camps and is easily one of the best instructors in the area. He has an uncanny ability to explain important but often overlooked elements of the game. His insight is often times a significant contributor in having some of our athletes take major strides forward. A powerful skater with excellent edge work, Neil is able to break down complex skills into much more simple, easy to understand components. We’re very lucky to have Neil whenever he is on the ice.

Calvin Shelley
Instructor

Calvin is one of the goaltending instructors at Inside Edge. He has tremendous knowledge of the position and strong skating ability. Calvin often demonstrates many of the technical aspects of goaltending in order to help clarify how specific save selections operate within different situations. Calvin also stresses the mental side of the position and how a goaltenders routine plays a big role in their performance.

Pat Spaulding
Instructor

Pat is another of our goaltending instructors at Inside Edge. He is an explosive, agile goalie who understands situational play and the specific save selections necessary to succeed all the way to the collegiate level. His ability to explain his thought process on save selection and play reading in a clear and concise manner is instrumental to the athletes who learn from him.

Jeff Fox
Instructor

Jeff often instructs at our summer camps and focuses on shooting, stick handling, and off ice training. His work in our camps is beneficial for both the athletes learning how to shoot and the goaltenders who want to try and stop him. Jeff does an excellent job explaining weight shift, puck control, and shot blending.
